Lamp post on Adams St on the North-West corner with LaSalle Bvd. On the left of the picture you can notice the Sears Tower.

Jean Baptiste Pointe du Sable is considered the founder of Chicago, as he was the first settler in the area. He arrived in the 1770’s, married a Potawatomi woman and founded the first trading post.
